OVERCOMERS

OVERCOMERS

The word overcomer in the Greek is Nike- just do it!!
John 16:33“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

1 John 5:4For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?    Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.   1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Rev. 12:11“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

8 promises to Overcomers;

  1. SALVATION
  1. ETERNAL LIFE
  1. PROVISION, DESTINY
  1. NEW REALMS OF AUTHORITY
  1. RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, FULFILLING DESTINY, AFFIRMING YOU
  1. IMMOVABLE, NEW NAME, BRIDE OF CHRIST
  1. A THRONE - a royal position and authority (Matt. 28:19-20). RULING AND REIGNING
  1. MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD

Revelation 2:7
7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” ’
Revelation 2:11
11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’

Revelation 2:17
17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’

The overcomers who stand with the Lamb on Mount Zion have "His Father's name" (the same kind of relationship that Jesus had with the Father) in their forehead. (Rev. 14:1-5; 22:4; compare 1 Cor. 1:10)!

White Stone: "To Him who overcomes... I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it."
JESUS reached into the heart of the Father and brought forth a white stone which decreed us to be innocent through His sacrifice.  Upon this stone was a new name (nature) which cannot be known by any man (carnality).

Revelation 2:26
26 “And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations

Revelation 3:5
5 “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 3:12
12 “He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

Isaiah 62:2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the Lord will name.

The New Name God Gives to Us

The Lord gives us a new name--a new identity. Our total identity is wrapped up in our association with Him. As His children, we receive this new name. In walking in the new name, we are confident and strong, knowing who we are in Him. It is about the name that He has given to us (Revelation 3:12).

We can choose to walk in our "old name" or walk in the new that God has given. It is a picture of choosing to yield to the old man or the new man created in true righteousness in holiness (Ephesians 4:24). We are partakers of the divine nature through His promises (2 Peter 1:4).

Just as Saul received a new name from the Lord, the demons recognized him by his new name, the new divine nature--not the old. This is because Paul walked in the new name and life that God had given to him.

Revelation 3:21
21 “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Revelation 3:21, KJV To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My THRONE (thronos - place or stately throne seat of authority, with a footstool), even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His THRONE.

Ephesians 1:20-23, KJV  Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,21 FAR ABOVE ALL (rulership) principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:22 And has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church,23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him that fills all in all.

Revelation 21:7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

EVERLASTING COVENANT

Everlasting Covenant:

Isaiah 42:6 “I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,
Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Revelation 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The everlasting covenant or covenant of grace is that mutual agreement into which the Father entered with His Son before the foundation of the world respecting salvation, Christ being appointed the mediator. He willingly consented to be their head and representative.  This is what happened when there was no time, on the corner of nowhere where there was nothing, there was a Meeting. And the Father was there, and the Son was there, and the Holy Spirit was there, taking the minutes. The minutes of that Meeting became the Volume of the Book. There neither has since been nor ever shall be such a Meeting, because there is no need for one. Everything that will ever happen in a time-space world happened in that Meeting. The works of God were finished in that Meeting. The Lamb was slain in that Meeting. And you and I were there in the Father’s Heart.

Covenant with Mankind:
Gen. 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Adamic Covenant :
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

Noahic Covenant
Genesis 6:18
18 “But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

Gen. 9:9 “And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you,
Exodus 24:8
Leviticus 26:
Deut. 28

2 Chronicles 7:15-16
Psalm 89:3-4 3 “I have made a covenant with My chosen,  I have sworn to My servant David: 4 ‘Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.’ ” Selah

Faith/ Confidence, Trust, (Faith is a Person),The Faith of God Part 2

Faith/ Confidence, Trust, (Faith is a Person),The Faith of God Part 2

Faith- What is it?

To review and to sum things up:

1. Faith is a gift of God: 1 Cor. 12:9; Rom. 12:3; Eph. 2:8.

It is not our faith but God's Faith.

The faith of God

(Mar 11:22)  And answering Jesus said to them, Have the faith of God.

(Act 3:16)  And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, this one whom you see and know, His name made firm. And the faith which came through Him has given him this perfect soundness before you.

(Act 6:7)  And the Word of God was increasing. And the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was multiplying exceedingly; even a great crowd of the priests obeyed the faith.

(Act 13:8)  But Elymas the conjurer (for so his name is, if translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

(Act 14:22)  confirming the souls of the disciples, calling on them to continue in the faith and that through much tribulation we must enter into the kingdom of God.

(Act 16:5)  Then indeed the churches were established in the faith and increased in number daily.

(Act 24:24)  Then after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.

(Rom 1:5)  by whom we have received grace and apostleship, to obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name;

(Rom 3:3)  For what? If some did not believe, will not their unbelief nullify the faith of God?

(Rom 4:11)  And he received a sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith while still uncircumcised; so that he might be the father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be imputed to them also;

(1Co 16:13)  Watch! Stand fast in the faith! Be men! Be strong!

(2Co 13:5)  examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith, prove your own selves. Do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates?

(Gal 1:23)  But only they were hearing that he who then persecuted us, now preaches the faith which he once ravaged.

(Gal 2:16)  knowing that a man is not justified by works of the Law, but through faith in Jesus Christ; even we believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith in Christ, and not by works of the Law. For all flesh will not be justified by works of law.

(Gal 2:20)  I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.

(Gal 3:23)  But before faith came, we were kept under Law, having been shut up to the faith about to be revealed.

(Eph 3:12) in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through His faith.

Again Mark 11: 22-26 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.(Exegesis Bible literal translation) Have the faith of God. 23“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.25“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26“But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

 Let's break this down:
      1. This is God's kind of faith (when do you receive it or acknowledge it?)

(Rom 12:3)  For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. (before you were saved)

            2. Faith involves speaking (heart/soul)
            3. Faith involves believing in your heart, then mind renewed, soul.
            4. Faith involves believing you receive (now)
            5. Faith works with forgiveness,  in unforgiveness faith doesn't work (Mark 11:25)
6. Faith involves doing, (faith without works is dead), being a doer of the word. (faith with corresponding action by being led by Holy Spirit)

(Jas 2:18)  But someone will say,You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith from my works.

Can you grow in faith? Yes in your soulish realm/renewing your mind. You don’t grow in faith in the spiritual realm because you have God’s faith. What you grow in is the knowledge that faith is already there. The knowledge of your completeness in Him.

Again, All we need to do is to go forward in His faith, and we shall find that what is true in the realm of the Spirit becomes manifest, through our faith, in the realm of the senses. (soul)

We are moving from FAITH TO FAITH, from FOUNDATIONAL FAITH to
FINISHING FAITH. Ever Increasing Faith.

FOUNDATIONAL FAITH is found in Hebrews 11. It is vital and without
option. It is not man's faith in God, but the faith of God. It is "first principles" faith-"faith.

Again:
1.   We are justified by the faith of God (Rom. 5:1; Gal. 2:16)
2.   I live by the faith of Jesus Christ ( Gal. 2:20)
3.   Our hearts are circumcised in water baptism by faith (Col. 2:11-12).
4.   We are filled with the Holy Ghost by faith (Gal. 3:1-5).
5.   We are healed by faith (1 Pet. 2:24).
6.   Our financial needs are met by faith (Phil. 4:19).

ALL THE FAITH OF GOD

FINISHING FAITH is found in Hebrews 12. Jesus Christ is the Author and the Finisher of faith. Finishing faith is God's faith in Himself in and through a Corporate Man. This is the faith of God (Mk. 11:22) for these end-times (Lk. 18:1,8). This is faith for creation and for the nations. This mature faith is needed to bring many sons to glory, to make disciples of all men. It is not just faith for us or for stuff, but faith to do the greater works.

Be encouraged! The One who brought us out will bring us in (Deut. 6:23 with Psa. 138:8; Jer. 29:11; Phil. 1:6).

"The hands of Zerubbabel (a type of Jesus the Messiah) have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it..." (Zech. 4:9).

2. Faith is sent by God's word to those who hear: Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rom. 10:17, Prov. 20:12.

The gospel is personal. Personal faith in soul comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17) and by the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 12:4-11).Nothing is impossible for faith today as in the days of old.(Matthew 17:20;Mark 9:23)

3. Where is faith? Faith is IN Christ and Christ is IN us (Col. 1:27).

4. Only God's faith will accomplish the job: Mark 11:22; Rom. 3:22; Rev. 14:12; Gal. 2:20.

5.  The faith of God in you pleases  God, makes Him approachable, constant communion with Him.: Heb. 11:6; Eph. 3:12; Gal. 5:6., BELIEVING/acknowledging YOU HAVE God’s faith.

6.  As we said Faith is necessary to be:
a. justified - Rom. 5:1; Gal. 2:16; 3:6-9,24.
b. healed - Matt. 9:22; Mark 5:34; Luke 8:48; 17:19; Acts 14:9.
c. sanctified - Acts 26:18.
d. purified - Acts 15:9
e. saved - Eph. 2:8; 2 Tim. 3:15; John 3:16; Acts 16:31.
f.  established - Isaiah 7:9; 2 Chron. 20:20; Col. 2:7; Jude 20.
g. reception of the baptism of the Holy Spirit
h. to operate in the gifts
i.  to appropriate all of God's promises

The standard is in Rom. 10: 8-19 (Rom 10:9-10) Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.

6. Faith is reality: Hebrews 11:1.
7. Faith operates by love. Galatians 5:6.

"For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).

8. Faith is not just to get things.

We cannot just look to God for our benefit and future blessings. That is man-centered. We have already been blessed. We have already been given all things that pertain to life and godliness.  It is not just what God can do for us, but what he will do by, in, and through us and as us to arrive at His eternal purposes.

The word “amen” is a most remarkable word. It was transliterated directly from the Hebrew into the Greek of the New Testament, then into Latin and into English and many other languages, so that it is practically a universal word. It has been called the best known word in human speech. The word is directly related -- in fact, almost identical -- to the Hebrew word for “believe” (amam), or faithful. Thus, it came to mean “sure” or “truly”, an expression of absolute trust and confidence.

In other words when we say Amen, we are saying I have faith in what has been said.

Confidence is simple living in faith:

1 John 5: 14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him
How does faith get in to your heart?

As we said before you already have the God kind of faith. Renewing your mind, speaking the Word, doing the Word gets this in your heart and out of the abundance of the  heart the mouth speaks.

What is the difference in faith and hope?
HOPE — confident expectancy. In the Bible, the word “hope” stands for both the act of hoping (Rom. 4:18; 1 Cor. 9:10) and the thing hoped for (Col. 1:5; 1 Pet. 1:3). Hope does not arise from the individual’s desires or wishes but from God, who is Himself the believer’s hope: “My hope is in You” (Ps. 39:7). Genuine hope is not wishful thinking, but a firm assurance about things that are unseen and still in the future (Rom. 8:24–25; Heb. 11:1, 7).
Hope distinguishes the Christian from the unbeliever, who has no hope (Eph. 2:12; 1 Thess. 4:13). Indeed, a Christian is one in whom hope resides (1 Pet. 3:15; 1 John 3:3). In contrast to Old Testament hope, the Christian hope is superior (Heb. 7:19).
Christian hope comes from God (Rom. 15:13) and especially His calling (Eph. 1:18; 4:4), His grace (2 Thess. 2:16), His Word (Rom. 15:4) and His gospel (Col. 1:23).

Hope is directed toward God (Acts 24:15; 1 Pet. 1:21) and Christ  (1 Thess. 1:3; 1 Tim. 1:1). Its appropri-ate objects are eternal life (Titus 1:2; 3:7), salvation (1 Thess. 5:8), righteousness (Gal. 5:5), the glory of God (Rom. 5:2; Col. 1:27), the appearing of Christ (Titus 2:13) and the resurrection from the dead (Acts 23:6; 26:6–7).

Faith and Hope work together along with the greatest one,  Love:(1Co 13:13)  But now abides faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Our Hope in God, our expectation, is His invitation.

Here are some Biblical examples of faith in action.

1. THE FAITH THAT WALKS AWAY FROM A JOB
James and John (Matthew 4:21,22; Mark 1:19,20)

2. THE FAITH THAT PRESSES THROUGH TO JESUS--The woman with the issue of blood (Matthew 9:21, 22)

3. THE FAITH THAT REACHES OUT FOR SOMEONE ELSE
Jairus, for the healing of his daughter (Matthew 9:18, 23-25)

4. THE FAITH THAT SEES THROUGH BLINDED EYES--Two blind men (Matthew 9:29, 30)--Blind Bartimaeus and a fellow blind man (Matthew 20:30-34; Mark 10:46-52; Luke 18:35-42)

5. THE FAITH THAT STANDS ON MERCY AND RESPONDS WITH THANKS--The Samaritan leper (Luke 17:11-19)

6. THE FAITH THAT TOUCHES THE POWER OF GOD--The sick people of Gennesaret (Matthew 14:36; Mark 3:10; 6:54-56)

7. THE FAITH FOR A FRIEND THAT FIGHTS TO THE FINISH--Those who brought the paralyzed man to Jesus (Luke 5:18-20)

8. THE FAITH THAT REALIZES THE POWER OF A LITTLE CRUMB FROM A GIANT GOD--The Syrophoenician woman (Matthew 15:22-28; Mark 7:25-30)

9. THE FAITH THAT KNOWS A WORD IS ENOUGH--The nobleman whose child was sick (John 4:46-53)

10. THE FAITH AWAKENED THROUGH A DISCERNING WORD--Through the prophetic and proclamation of Jesus (John 4:39-42)

Faith Rest

(Heb 4:4-11)  For He spoke in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested the seventh day from all His works." And in this place again, "They shall not enter into My rest."Since then it remains that some must enter into it, and since they to whom it was first preached did not enter in because of unbelief,
He again marks out a certain day, saying in David, "Today," (after so long a time).

Even as it is said, "Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts."  For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.  So then there remains a rest to the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
Therefore let us labor to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of unbelief.

A faith rest is like flying an airplane by IFR (Instrument Flight Rules). I took a few flying lessons back in the 80's on a Cessna. One day the instructor said today you are going to fly the airplane on IFR. I really didn't know what that meant. When we were up in the air, he put up a shield or a blinder on the windshield. Now you have to fly using the instruments only.

That's flying by faith.  The same in this life we live and move and have our being n Him and His Word. What does Scripture say,"(2Co 5:7) for we walk by faith, not by sight;"

GROWTH IN FAITH ( In Soul)

Faith is a lifestyle (Habakkuk 2:4; Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 5:7).  And as we walk in faith, we grow and develop.  This growth of faith is witnessed in the life of Peter. Remember everyone has a measure of faith. You needed that measure just to get saved. And appropriate all the promises of God. But as you receive the Word of God in your heart, speak it and act upon it, faith grows. As we said before we grow in the knowledge that we already have faith, completeness.

RECEIVED FAITH:

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him,We have FOUND the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.  And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone (John 1:42-43).

Faith is first and always a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8; Ro. 10:17).  This ability to TRUST in, RELY upon, and ADHERE to (as the Amplified Bible defines it), is given to us by the Holy Spirit.  Like Andrew, we all seem to think that we FOUND the Lord.  Of course, we know that it is not the Lord, but we who were LOST.  And it is we who the Lord, as the Good Shepherd, has FOUND (Luke 15:4-7). So we didn't find Jesus He found us.

There was a movie I saw recently. In it this new executive came to an oupost in Alaska. While being driven to her office the lady driving said, "Have you found Jesus?"  And she answered,"I didn't know he was lost."

Interestingly, the word FOUND in Luke 15 is the Greek word HEURISKO (Strong’s #2147), meaning, “to find, see, perceive, get, or obtain.”  We get the English adjective HEURISTIC from this Greek word.  Heuristic means, “to serve, to demonstrate, or to reveal truth.”  Isn’t it amazing that while we were dead in trespasses and sins that Christ died for us, made us alive, and has opened our eyes to the Truth!   (Hebrews 2:9; 12:2).  He is the TRUTH.  He is the MESSIAH (the CHRIST).  He is LORD of all!

We didn’t find Him; He found us.

But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name (John 1:12).

REVEALED FAITH:
“Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?  Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.  And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God” (John 6:67-69).

Faith is RECEIVED and must be personally REVEALED.  What follows in Peter’s life is a confidence in the Word and Work of the LORD.  The word SURE in this passage from John’s Gospel is the Geek word GINOSKO (Strong’s #1097).  This word is primarily translated as KNOW and means to know by experience absolutely.  John writes in his first epistle that we can KNOW that we KNOW (1John 2:3).  Paul’s ultimate desire was to KNOW HIM (Philippians 3:10).  Through a continuing walk and relationship with and in Him we KNOW HIM.  And this knowledge is then the basis of our confidence.

In other words the more we KNOW HIM the more we will grow in FAITH. ( remember growing in faith is in your soulish realm, the soul being saved)

Phm 1:5    hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, Phm 1:6    that the fellowship of your faith may operate in a full knowledge of every good thing in you in Christ Jesus.

Your faith grows in the soulish realm when your mind is renewed. Renewed to what? a full knowledge of every good thing in you in Christ Jesus .

But note here also that Peter was still to deny the LORD.  Let us never think more of ourselves or put our trust in ourselves.  Thank the LORD that He gives us this example of Peter’s life to understand that our HOPE (confident expectation) is in Him only.  Peter still had more to KNOW of Him.  Oh, that we might choose that good part, as Mary did, sit at His feet, and learn of Him (Luke 10:42; Matthew 11:28-30; Ephesians 2:6).

“That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death”    (Philippians 3:10).

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth (Hosea 6:3).

RESOLVED FAITH

In the life of Paul we see resolved faith.

(2Ti 1:12)  For this cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard/keep my deposit or commitment unto that Day. Now that is faith. THE FAITH OF GOD

THE FAITH SCRIPTURES

The Faith of God

(Mar 11:22)  And answering Jesus said to them, Have the faith of God.

Faith/ Confidence, Trust, (Faith is a Person),The Faith of God

Faith/ Confidence, Trust, (Faith is a Person),The Faith of God

Part 1
(Mark 11:22)  And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God. (Darby & Geneva)

"Have the faith of God" is the literal rendering, as in the margin of the Authorized Version, and this conveys the vital meaning more clearly than just "have faith in God," as in the Authorized Version text. For to "have faith in God" means to many just a reliance on the ability of God in His heaven and a leaving it to Him to do it. That is not not what Jesus said.

But to "have the faith of God" means to recognize an indwelling God (as Jesus did in the instance cited above), to realize that we have His mind, and that by the inspiration of His Spirit we speak forth with our human lips the word of believing faith, of authority, just as He did when He said, "'Let there be light': and there was light," or as the Lord Jesus did in the above incident. And we are told in Romans 4:17 that the faith of God is that "He calls those things which be not as though they were." We are to do the same.

Thus Christ said, "Say unto this mountain." "Say," not "pray." The word is most significant. The thought is not that all prayer should be omitted (for the Word counsels us to pray) but that prayer should not be from an attitude of feeling that one has not and therefore has needs. Saying the word of faith is the attitude of one who has and dispenses what he has.

Such is the "throne life" as we commonly speak of it. A throne is occupied by a king. A king is a possessor and dispenser of gifts. This is why we who are believers and joined to Christ -- He the head, we the members of one Body, physically on earth, spiritually enthroned -- we are "kings ... unto God" and "seated in the heavenlies."

Examine the men of God through the Bible -- both prophets and apostles -- and you will find this conscious attitude of authoritative faith to be theirs. The difference stands out clearly with Hezekiah and Isaiah.

Hezekiah was a man of prayer. The threats of the enemy came upon him with overwhelming force. He prayed. He bemoaned weakness. "This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth" (Isaiah 37:3). "Not strength" was his emphasis.

Hear Isaiah's answer, a declaration, a saying unto this mountain. "Thus says the Lord, 'Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Surely, I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall ... return to his own land'" (vs. 6,7).

The one -- godly, praying man though he was -- spoke in weakness. The other spoke in authority. The one was fully conscious of need and lack and separation from the supply of power. The other knew union with God, and spoke as His mouthpiece.

Faith is The Response of Your Heart to God's Truth! It is the Faith of God!

God has Made it Plane and simple to see that our faith only means persuasion! The Faith Of Christ is the core intertwined with our faith in the soulish realm. We Are Justified By the Faith of Jesus.

How can we be justified by our own Faith?

If those Who think that justification comes by human faith then what  did Jesus come to Do...Was Jesus’s word Complete?

Work+Human Faith=Salvation!!!  This is what is taught.

We are saved by grace through faith. The church has taught us it's God's grace and our faith. But unless we have faith, and enough of it, no deal. That's what we were taught. So, it's our faith, we have to come up with it, we have to find it in us somewhere, or no deal. Someone who doesn't believe in God suddenly has to find faith deep inside them somewhere?  This is contrary to Scripture.

(Rom 12:3)  For I say, through the grace given to me, to every one who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Measure meaning metron.

The measure', or 'metron' in the Greek, used in (Rom 12:3)  For I say, through the grace given to me, to every one who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.

The word means standard-- The standard is Jesus

Another scriptural reference

(Gal 2:20)  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

(Eph 2:20-22)  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

The 'temple' grows or is built is determined by the Capstone, (Jesus Christ) the crowning pinnacle of the temple. Nothing is built beyond the Capstone, it determines the height.  So is your faith.

The King James Version of the Bible reads, "I live by the faith of the Son of God, rather than,"I live by my faith in the Son of God," In our union with Christ I would live by His faith -- His perfect faith was expressing itself through me! Do you see the difference? As long as your perception of spiritual success is contingent on your personal performance as an independent self, sooner or later you will fall short of your personal goals and expectations. Once you see that Christ in you is more than a "positional" truth -that He, as a living Person, with the attributes of faith, hope and love, actually lives His life through you, as you -- FAITH IS A PERSON!!

Why do we acknowledge that in the grace gospel, everything is a gift from God, he supplies all our needs, he has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ - except faith? 1 Cor 13;13 says: "13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three ; but the greatest of these is love." We all agree that love comes from God and the love he requires from us has to come from him....but not faith?

I don't believe it's our faith, I believe it's Christ's faith, part of the free gift of God to us in salvation - and our part is to realize and receive it, acknowledge this in our soulish realm. Why would God entrust something like his supernatural plan of salvation to the faith of feeble humanity, so that if they don't have enough faith, it doesn't work???

Same with healing if we don’t have enough faith it doesn’t work! Nonsense.

The word faith in the following verses comes from the same Aramaic phrase which means the faith of Jesus or the faith of the Messiah:

Ephesians 2; 8: For it is by His grace that we have been saved through faith, and this faith was not from you, but it is the gift of God, 9 Not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Ephesians 3; 11: That which he had prepared from eternity and performed in Yeshua The Messiah Our Lord, 12 Him by whom we have boldness and access in the confidence of his faithfulness.

Phil 3;8:.. that I may gain The Messiah, 9 And be found in him, while I do not have my own righteousness, which is from The Written Law, but that which is from the faith of The Messiah, which is the righteousness that is from God.

This takes the pressure of us to bring faith that originates in us to the experience of salvation - it is all from God, one glorious package born of his love and his grace! We are merely the beneficiaries who receive it!

Galatians 2:20 is familiar to most Christians, as it is probably one of the ten most quoted and memorized verses in the Bible.

(Gal 2:20)  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

We find that we cannot do or believe anything to grow closer to God – indeed the message of Christianity is that it is His act on the cross that has drawn us close to Him. We are now at one with Him! (Even our faith/belief in that is a gift from Him) We cannot attain a higher spiritual status as believers – we have been fully made righteous, holy, perfect and spotless before God. We have already been seated in Heavenly places. This again is something that God has done entirely on His own initiative without any human effort.

My big breakthrough in my understanding came when I suddenly saw that the King James Version of the Bible reads, "I live by the faith of the Son of God, rather than, "I live by my faith in the Son of God," All along I had the impression that my spiritual success was related to my faith in Christ (which always seemed to be faltering!). Now I could relax.

Countless pamphlets and pages of books have been written about and around this verse. The key to a liberated and fulfilling, productive life is recognition -- recognition of who we are. For many I was unable to answer the question, "Who am I?" I talked about being "a new creation in Christ, but those were only words.  In my past I was plagued with unrest, spiritual drought and what I considered to be "hidden sins. No wonder I had such a poor self-image. I had answered the question "are you born again?" but I had never answered the more fundamental question: Do you know who you are?" I had not yet adequately nor correctly seen who I really was.

The " real me” was more than Mary Sue Davis.  Thank God I know now and am still learning who I am.

"I live by the faith of the Son of God, rather than, "I live by my faith IN the Son of God." An important distinction that many translations don't catch.

As Andrew Wommack puts it in his commentary: "We were so spiritually bankrupt that we had to believe for salvation with our own faith.  We didn’t know to  acknowledge God's supernatural faith (Eph 2:8) that came to us as a gift through hearing God's Word (Ro 10:17).  Faith comes by hearing and understanding the word of God.

There is a human faith that is limited to believing only what we can perceive through our five senses, but the supernatural, God-kind of faith goes beyond what we can see, taste, hear, smell, and feel. God's kind of faith calls those things that be not as though they already.

God gave you faith at salvation (the faith in your spirit) and that faith is supposed to grow through all of our life circumstances in your soulish realm.

All we need to do is to go forward in His faith, and we shall find that what is true in the realm of the Spirit becomes manifest, through our faith, in the realm of the senses. (soul)

These verses explain the faith and our faith. Our faith is growing and maturing in our soulish realm.

Php 3:8    But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them to be dung, so that I may win Christ

Php 3:9    and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness which is of the Law, but through the faith Christ, ( the faith of God) the righteousness of God by faith,   ( my faith in the soulish realm) that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death.

He is the author and the finisher of our faith. Heb 12:2    looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.
