QUIT TRYING TO LIVE A CHRISTIAN LIFE

What have you been told is the secret to the Christian life?

Pray and read your Bible? 

Go to church? 

Witness? 

Speak in tongues? 

Tithe? 

Do good works?

Let me go on record. I do not believe anything on that list even comes close to the issue of how to live the Christian life. All have one inherent flaw, the fatal flaw? Every item on the aforementioned list assumes that it is possible to live the Christian life.

Can you live the Christian life? The answer is no, a resounding NO! You cannot live the Christian life. 

Romans 8:1-2 Consequently, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. 

So live the life  of the Spirit in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the Life. He is the highest life. God the Father is the wellspring, the source, the first motion, and the fountainhead of the life abundant. 

John 10:10b I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Embrace a formula or a list in order to "live the Christian life," and you are doomed to frustration. But on the day you quit trying to live the Christian life, then you will finally give Him the freeway to live out in you what is so easy and so simple and so organic for Him to do. Hopefully, you just got set free from a long list of do's and don'ts (the "do's" you can't do, and the "don'ts" you always do). Why look so shocked; stop and think about it. You never were any good at living the Christian life. Admit it. Let Christ live in you, through you and as you.

(Gal 2:20)  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

JUST BE!!

• I am a child of God.

• I am a branch of the true vine, and a conduit of Christ’s life.

• I am a friend of Jesus.

•  I am a fellow heir with Christ

• I am joined to the Lord and am one spirit with Him.

• I am a new creation in Christ.

• I am no longer a slave, but a child and an heir.

• I am chosen, holy, and blameless before God.

• I am seated in the heavenly places with Christ.

• I am God’s workmanship created to produce good works.

• I am a member of Christ’s body and a partaker of His promise.

• I am a citizen of heaven.

This list goes on and on. Not the list of dos and don'ts.

IT IS FINISHED!!

What did Jesus mean when He said "It Is Finished?"

God had a plan when Jesus went to the cross. The plan was to remove everything and anything that could ever separate you from the love of God. When Jesus gave up his spirit, that plan was finished and completed forever.

On the cross, Jesus (the second Adam) restored to you the perfect innocence OF YOU IN THE BEGINNING, He remained on the cross long enough to receive all the judgment you think you will ever earn. You were judged worthy, holy and righteous from the beginning in Christ.

There is nothing you can ever do to erase your sins.

They were taken away and you can never have them back.

There is no longer any separation between you and God. THERE NEVER WAS (you only thought you were separated)

There is no day of judgment in your future.

There is no day of reckoning coming.

You have been made one with God.

The veil was removed.

It is finished!!

God is not disappointed with you.

He is not angry at you.

He is not upset by anything you've done.

He is only delighted with you.

He is filled with wonder when He sees you.

You have been made perfect in his eyes.

You are His treasure today and tomorrow.

It is finished.

On the cross, Jesus defeated sickness and death once and for all.

Everything required for you to raise the dead and heal the sick was accomplished.

Everything needed to heal your emotions was done.

He gave sight to the blind and healed the brokenhearted.

He bore your griefs and carried away your sorrows.

By His stripes you were healed.

It is finished!!

There is nothing you can do that will ever make you more respected in the eyes of God than you are right now.

There is no need for you to strive to impress Him.

All that was needed to make you a king in His house was done.

All that was required to restore your divine identity was accomplished. (your eternal identity was and is) 

When He died, your seemingly old nature died with Him.

When He was raised, you were raised with Him.

When He ascended, you ascended with Him.

He is seated in the heavens at the right hand of God and so are you.

You have already been crowned with glory.

It is finished!!

So stop striving.

Don't be stressed.

Don't listen to the lies that say you are anything less than a cherished and greatly loved child of the eternal Father. from the beginning and forever.

Rest in His absolute and overwhelming love for you.

It is finished!!
