OUR INHERITANCE IN CHRIST

(
Eph 1:11) in whom also we have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His own will,
1:11 This is how we fit into God's picture, Christ is the measure of our portion, we are in Him; invented and defined in Him. God's blueprint intention is on exhibition in us, everything He accomplishes is inspired by the energy and intent of His affection. Mirror

Related Scriptures:
Ephesians 3:11..."According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:"
1 John 3:8..."For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy (undo, paralyze – manifested-purpose, destroy )the works of the devil." (diabolos, the diabolical one...dia- across,bolos- to overthrow).
Manifested purpose gets the job done, purpose that is manifested or revealed, made alive, not just having purpose only.
Scriptures on Inheritance:
Notice present tense, past tense and sometimes future tense verbs. Our inheritance:
And if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. (Romans 8:17)
Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be (present tense)partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. (Colossians 1:12)
Knowing that from the Lord you will (future tense)receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:24)
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised  (past tense) to those who love Him? (James 2:5)
To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. (1 Peter 1:4)
This, of course, is talking about in heaven, now not someday--- in heaven, in us.
Truths:
I. God is our wealthy Father. (Psalms 24:1).(Psalms 22:28).(Haggai 2:8).

II. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. (Psalms 2:7).(Isaiah 7:14). (Matthew 1:23-25).(Matthew 14:33).(Matthew 17:5).(John 3:18). Although we are the 2nd born, 3rd born etc. etc. since Jesus was the firstborn of many brethren. (Romans 8:29), we have also learned “spirit of adoption” means “spirit of sonship.” (Romans 8:15) We are sons from the beginning. (Gen. 1:26)

III. All of the inheritance of God went to Jesus. (Psalms 2:8).(John 16:15). (Isaiah 53:12).

IV. We receive our inheritance through being One with Jesus, joint heirs, many brethren (Hebrews 9:15-16).(Ephesians 2:8-9).(I Corinthians 2:12).
page3image58326016page3image58325824page3image58325056page3image58325440
(Acts 26:18).(1 John 4:17)

V. What inheritance Jesus received, we also receive. "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together" (Romans 8:17).By faith we have become Abraham's seed and therefore heirs of God. "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Galatians 3:29)."Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. (Galatians 4:7).
Part of our inheritance is to do the works that He did and greater.
(1Jn 4:17) In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment (crisis), that as He is, so also we are in this world.
What is Greater Works? John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
I believe greater works is more than we comprehend, think, or imagine.
Eph. 3:20 and to Him who is able above all things to do exceeding, abundantly what we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us, YLT

VI. We need to come to understand the extent of our inheritance. We have received all spiritual blessings. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3).
We have exceeding riches. "That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:7). We now have the inheritance which only God once promised to His people. "That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens (enemies in our minds) from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: (not separated literally, but we thought we were Col. 1:21)
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ" (Ephesians 2:12-13). We thought we were far off in our minds.
Our inheritance is now unsearchable in extent. "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the
page5image58325248
Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8). We have exceeding great and precious promises. "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (II Peter 1:4).

We have access to ALL of the promises of God through Jesus. "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." (II Corinthians 1:20).

Here is a brief outline of our inheritance as believers: Not all inclusive.

OUR INHERITANCE--WE ARE AS BELIEVERS:

 I. In the Eternal Plan of God:
Foreknown, "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son" (Rom. 8:29. See also 1 Pet. 1:2).
Elect, "Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God" (1 Thess. 1:4. See also 1 Pet.1:2; Rom. 8:33; Col. 3:12; Tit. 1:1).
Election, sure, "does not fad away" 1 Pet 1:4
Predestinated, "Being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the council of his own will" (Eph.1:11; Rom. 8.29, 30; Eph. 1:5).
Chosen, "For many are called, but few are chosen" (Mt. 22:14; 1 Pet. 2:4). We make the choice.
Called, "Faithful is he that calls you" (1 Thes. 5:24, etc.).

XVI. On the Rock Christ Jesus:

XIX. Partakers of the Holy and Royal Priesthood:
XX. A Chosen Generation and a Peculiar People:

XXIII. His Inheritance:
XXIV. Given Our Inheritance:
"An inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you" (1 Pet. 1:4;
Many interpret this to mean someday, in heaven, but I teach that it is now. Where is heaven? Heaven is in your heart, the kingdom of God is within you.
Luke 17:21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Let it be done in me as it is in heaven. Matt .6:10 XXV. A Heavenly Association (Eph. 2:6):
XXVI. Heavenly (Kingdom) Citizens:
XXVIII. Light of the World Matt. 5:14
XXIX. Vitally United to the Father, Son, and Spirit, as One
XXX. Blessed with the "First Fruits" and the "Earnest" of the Spirit:
XXXI. Glorified:
XXXII. Complete in Him: "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power" (Col. 2:10).
XXXIII. Possessing Every Spiritual Blessing: Eph. 1:3
To sum it up: Our inheritance is Health, Healing, Wealth (Prosperity in spirit, soul and body) Protection, Safety, Life more abundantly, beings Saints, Righteous, Holy and Saved, Redeemed completely for eternity.

Named just a few; there are much more.
