THE FAITH OF GOD

MUCH OF MY PERCEPTION ABOUT FAITH CHANGED WHEN I LEARNED WE HAVE THE FAITH OF GOD.

My big breakthrough in my understanding came when I suddenly saw that the King James Version of the Bible reads, "I live by the faith of the Son of God, rather than, "I live by my faith in the Son of God," All along I had the impression that my spiritual success was related to my faith in Christ (which always seemed to be faltering!). Now I could relax.

"I live by the faith of the Son of God, rather than, "I live by my faith IN the Son of God." An important distinction that many translations don't catch.

As Andrew Wommack puts it in  one of his commentaries: "We were so spiritually bankrupt that we had to believe for salvation with our own faith.  We didn’t know to  acknowledge God's supernatural faith (Eph 2:8) that came to us as a gift through hearing God's Word (Ro 10:17).  Faith comes by hearing and understanding the word of God.

There is a human faith that is limited to believing only what we can perceive through our five senses, but the supernatural, God-kind of faith goes beyond what we can see, taste, hear, smell, and feel. God's kind of faith calls those things that be not as though they already.

God gave you faith at salvation (the faith in your spirit) and that faith is supposed to grow through all of our life circumstances in your soulish realm.

All we need to do is to go forward in His faith, and we shall find that what is true in the realm of the Spirit becomes manifest, through our faith, in the realm of the senses. (soul)

These verses explain the faith and our faith.

Php 3:8    But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them to be dung, so that I may win Christ

Php 3:9    and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness which is of the Law, but through the faith Christ, ( the faith of God) the righteousness of God by faith,   ( my faith in the soulish realm) that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death.

He is the author and the finisher of our faith. Heb 12:2    looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.

(1Ti 5:8) But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.

TO BE

I spent years focused on meaningless technicalities and powerless traditions of men, trying to ‘do’ things or ‘be’ someone pleasing to God. I couldn’t go to sleep without re-living my faults & failures of the day, confessing them (at least all I could remember) to be ‘clean’ before Him so I could go to sleep, only to wake up the next morning to the never-ending treadmill life men had introduced me to of trying to “do and be” pleasing to God

“Am I praying enough Lord?
Reading the bible enough?
Going to church enough?
Do I worship You enough?
Am I witnessing enough?
Am I serving enough?
Am I giving enough money?
Are you pleased with me?
Is anything I’m doing “enough”???

If you’ll just SHOW ME what you want me to do Lord, whatever it is, I’ll promise I’ll do it. I really just want to know you’re pleased with me, God.”

Then one day He answered my prayer. He SHOWED ME He was pleased with me from the moment He first thought of me (before I was even born) and that my Life was actually conceived ‘out of’ His Love and pleasure! He began to reveal my true Life did not originate from flesh and blood, or the will or passion of any man, but from the will, passion and joy of Him getting to BE my heavenly Father!

I found out I did not have to ‘do’ anything to bring joy to my Father’s heart, and that He had always been pleased with me, not because of my performance (or lack of it) but just because I was His child, and in His eyes I had always been holy and blameless to Him in His Love!!

Just my knowledge of that alone causes me to shout a resounding YES to actively participate in His divine nature with Him and His inheritance for me. And that alone gratifies and pleases Him to the fullest extent! I go to bed and arise much differently now. Sin is the furthest thing from my mind, because I know  ALL SIN IS FORGIVEN. I fall asleep and awake with tears of joy thinking about all I got to participate in that day.  I’m in the Father’s perfect will, His joy and His peace and who we’ll get to go out and Love on and be Jesus to the world, together as One!

As He is so am I and I AM having the time of my life!
You are Loved and were pleasing to your heavenly Father before you were even alive to know it.

You belong, and you always have even before you had the ability to say YES to enjoy it.

Just say YES.

Just Dive IN.
That’s ALL the Father ever wanted and the idea of that alone was, and will always be pleasing to Him!
