Offense, Don't Take It


Offense

Impossible not to come


(Mat 18:7)  Woe to the world because of offenses! For it is necessary that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

Occasions of, 
(1Cor 10:32)  Give no offense, either to the Jews, or to the Greeks or to the church of God;

(2Cor 6:3)  We are in nothing giving cause of stumbling, in no way, so that the ministry may not be blamed,

Blessedness of not taking at Christ

(Mat 11:6)  And blessed is he, whoever shall not be offended in Me.

Saints warned against taking

(John 16:1)  I have spoken these things to you so that you should not be offended.

SAINTS SHOULD Be without

(Php 1:10)  that you may distinguish between things that differ, that you may be sincere and without offense until the day of Jesus Christ,

Have a conscience void of

(Act 24:16)  And in this I exercise myself, always to have a blameless conscience toward God and men.

Not let their liberty occasion, to others

(1Co 8:9)  But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours becomes a stumbling block to those who are weak.

Avoid those who cause

(Rom 16:17)  And I exhort you, brothers, to watch those making divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them.

Reprove those who cause

All things that cause, shall be gathered out of Christ's kingdom


(Mat 13:41)  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

1. murmuring and complaining
2. doubt
3. fear
4. pride; exalts self

Don't give it out and don't take it! Avoid completely.

Love covers a multitude of sins!


(1Pe 4:8)  And above all things have fervent love to yourselves, for love will cover a multitude of sins.
